You, yes YOU are amAZing

Have you ever looked carefully at the word amAZing before? How many times a day do you use it? I have to say that some days I almost wear it out, but that's ok as it's a pretty amAZing word and we live in a truly amAZing world. The reason I love the word amAZing so much, is because it represents to me the A-Z of brilliance. The Alpha and Omega of perfection. Each one of us is truly amAZing, although we may not believe it... We can be perfect in our imperfection. Sri Ramana Maharshi said "When perfection exists as the nature of your Heart, why do you lose your composure by dwelling on imperfections?" What has been so interesting working on the 'Be More' collection, is that many people see the 'I' in the words as referring solely to me, the creator, but the 'I' is each and every reader.

I wonder how many people would feel comfortable saying out loud, or even in the silence of their hearts "I am amAZing...I am amAZing".

The thing is, that every single one of us is

amAZing; a complete alphabet of wonder, but we don't recognise it in ourselves, and so often simply don't allow ourselves to be amAZing. Now, more than ever, in a society that prizes a well defined 'glossy-magazine-social-media-perfect-life' we so often hone in on our imperfections and fail to recognise our unique brilliance, fail to step out of our comfort zone into a truly technicolour life. It's taken me a long time, but I am starting to embrace my imperfections and am willing to look myself in the eyes and say "I am amAZing"; I will be honest, I don't yet believe it fully with my whole heart, (I could say it with complete belief and conviction about you), but I am starting to understand that I have the Alpha and Omega within me; the Yin and the Yang, the A-Z of brilliance. I accept myself with all my faults and failings and you know what that's pretty amAZing. So why not join me and write a list of all the things that make you amAZing. You may surprise yourself at how many qualities you find once you start to look. If you find this too hard, why not write a list of what makes your favourite person amAZing...the thing is, whatever we recognise as amAZing in others, we probably contain in ourselves...
